Caramel Stroopwafels

Hailing from Holland, this traditional confection consists of an indulgent caramel filling - known as "stroop" in Dutch - that's squeezed between two thin, freshly baked waffle wafers. Though they're delicious straight out of the package, part of what makes stroopwafels such a special treat is the unique way they're traditionally served! To replicate the Dutch ritual of "waking the waffle," simply rest a stroopwafel on top of a mug of coffee, hot chocolate, tea, or the hot beverage of your choice for about 2 minutes.
